Microsoft attributed a ConnectWise-linked campaign to the China-aligned Storm-0940 group and says the attackers used the open-source ARTEX agent framework for reconnaissance, password spraying and OAuth application abuse. More than 2,250 Microsoft 365 tenants saw attempted sign-ins at peaks of 2,900 per minute, but Microsoft says most targeting failed and exposure does not prove data access.
Why it matters: The incident shows how stolen application identities and agent automation can compress cloud intrusion timelines beyond manual response cycles.
NVIDIA launched Minerva, an AIOps platform that combines GPU, network, storage, scheduler and AI-workload telemetry in a topology-aware knowledge graph. NVIDIA says IREN is using it, while Bitdeer and several other operators plan deployments; the published repair-time and alert-reduction examples remain vendor or partner evidence rather than independent tests.
Why it matters: As GPU clusters scale, linking a degraded component to the training or inference job it affects can save scarce compute time and shorten outages.
Google DeepMind and Google Research released ForTy 2020, an open global map that classifies 10-by-10-meter land patches into six forest and land-use categories, plus an early annual series for 2017–2025. A Scientific Data paper reports 90.2% overall accuracy on 8,190 expert-labeled sites; that is a study result, not a guarantee for every region or regulatory decision.
Why it matters: The dataset goes beyond tree-cover maps by separating natural forests, plantations and tree crops, which could improve supply-chain and conservation checks.
