Ai2 releases OlmoEarth v1.3 with open global satellite embeddings and a browser explorer

Ai2 released OlmoEarth v1.3, its weights, code, technical report, precomputed annual embeddings and a no-sign-in browser explorer. The archive provides 10-meter embeddings for the whole planet for 2023–2025, with selected-country coverage for 2017–2022; Ai2's benchmark leads are self-reported and the artifact license is not a standard open-source software license.
Why it matters
Precomputed embeddings move the cost of planetary-scale satellite inference upstream, letting smaller teams test mapping and change-detection ideas without running the foundation model themselves.
