Moonshot launched Kimi K3.1 Pro and a faster Highspeed variant across its apps and API, with full model weights promised by November 4. The 2.8-trillion-parameter mixture-of-experts model has 104 billion active parameters and a 1-million-token context; Artificial Analysis scored the hosted model fourth on its index, while most other benchmarks remain provider-reported.
Why it matters
A high-ranking hosted model could soon become the strongest independently measured open-weight release, but the weights and license are not available yet.
