Serve Robotics and DoorDash launched a sidewalk-robot delivery pilot in the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, Serve’s first operation outside the U.S. Customers of the first participating restaurant can opt in through DoorDash; the robots use remote supervisors and a Griffith University depot, with expansion dependent on community feedback.

Why it matters

The launch moves a U.S. sidewalk-delivery fleet into a new regulatory and operating market, but starts with a narrow pilot rather than a citywide autonomous service.
